Lice Treatment for Kids
Lice in Children hair especially school going kids is a common issue. Symptoms of head lice include frequent head-scratching and/or the sudden appearance of dandruff-like white flecks in the hair. You may receive a note from your child's school reporting that another class member has a case of head lice. In all of these instances, you should examine your child's head for lice. Be careful while examining as this is the 1st step in Lice treatment.
Instructions
Examination of Head for lice:
Be sure there is adequate lighting when checking your child’s head for lice. A brightly lit bathroom or a flashlight will help you spot any lice or eggs. If you feel comfortable in the open air! Spotting will be easier in a bright sunny open-air environment.
Where to Start:
Begin from the bottom of the neck and work your way up. Lice and eggs can be anywhere on the head but they do prefer warmer places to hide. The lower hairline is a good place to start.
Identifying and Removing of Eggs:
Using either your fingers or a tail comb, slowly part the hair down the middle, from the crown to the nape of the neck. Check the eggs on the hair shaft from roots to end examine for the small white dots or any adult lice attached to the hair shaft. The eggs may be well attached and should only be able to be removed by scraping off the hair with your fingernail. When the first section is tested, part the hair either to the right or left of your styling part in very small sections and Check this new parting for eggs and mature lice.
Repetition of Process:
Once examine process completed repeat this procedure all the way through the entire back of the head, need to be paying extra attention to the warmer spots at the nape, hairline and close to the ears.
When the entire back portion of the head is complete, part your child’s hair from the crown to the front hairline and repeat the process for the front of the hair.

Instantly Wash:
If lice are noted on your child’s head action must be taken immediately. Take away your child’s clothing that they are wearing and all bedding on your kid’s bed. Wash instantly or your kid will risk another exposure. All things used by your children like jackets, caps, mufflers, cushion, pillow or blanket will be infested and must be washed. Wash your hands carefully once the clothes are in the washer.
Lice Treatment:
Best way to eliminate lice from hair at home is lice Shampoo. Go to the drug store and buy a lice shampoo. Follow the guidelines given with the product. Once the washing is complete re-examine for any remaining lice or eggs. Use a lice picker for better performance.
Final Step:
If you have other children in the house check them for lice as well. If you have doubt you may be infected get help from someone to check you or use the lice shampoo just to be safe. Be insistent. The lice treatment may have to be repetitive earlier than the lice or eggs are completely killed.
